何かを探していなくても、偶然に何かを見つけたり発見したりすること。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

主にカジュアルな会話や文章で使われます。「come across」と似ているが、「stumble onto」はより幸運や驚きを伴うことが多いです。「stumble onto a solution」などの形でよく使われます。
