三振

Definition

野球でバッターが三振（スリーストライク）でアウトになること。ピッチャーやバッターの成績として数えられる。

'三振'は野球・ソフトボールでのみ使われる用語です。他のスポーツや日常会話で失敗の意味では使いません。成績や記録として頻繁に出てきます。

The pitcher had ten strikeouts in the game.
