止まるやめる

Definition

動いたり、何かをしたり、物事が起こるのを終わらせる、または一時的にやめること。

「stop doing something」は何かをやめるという意味。「stop by」はちょっと立ち寄ること。「pause」は一時停止で、完全にやめる意味ではありません。

Please stop talking during the movie.

映画の間は話すのを**やめて**ください。
