Definition

細かい点やしるしをたくさん使って絵や質感、陰影を表現する美術技法です。

主に美術、特にペン画や版画で使われます。「hatching」のような線ではなく、点のみで描きます。単なる「点を打つ」とは違い、芸術的な効果を出すために使います。
