Definition

탈 것, 배 혹은 사람을 특정한 장소나 목표, 방향으로 조종하거나 안내하다.

주로 탈 것이나 배에 쓰이지만, 비유적으로도 씀('steer for success' 등). 목적지가 뒤따름. 단순히 'steer'(조종하다)와 혼동하지 않기.

The captain told the sailor to steer for the island.
