무엇의 아래에 있거나 특정 수준 또는 한계 이하로 유지하는 것. 물건 아래, 물속, 정해진 수치 이하에 있을 때 사용한다.

"Stay under"는 실제(예: stay under the desk)나 비유적으로(예: stay under the limit) 모두 사용됨. 지시, 안전 상황, 목표 설정 시 흔히 쓰임.
