Usage Notes (Japanese)

政治や社会問題、価値観に関連して使われることが多い（例：'stand against injustice'）。ややフォーマルな表現で、名詞や動名詞を後ろに置くことが多い。'stand up for'（擁護する）とは意味が異なるので注意。
