何もせずにその場に立っていること。たいていは待っていたり、時間を無駄にしているときに使います。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

カジュアルな表現。じっと立ったまま何もしていない時に使う。'stand up'（立ち上がる）、'stand by'（待機する）とは異なるので注意。複数人にも使われる。
