Definition
একটি অবস্থা যেখানে কোনো পক্ষই এগোতে পারে না বা জয়লাভ করতে পারে না; সাধারণত দাবা, আলোচনা বা সংঘর্ষের ক্ষেত্রে ব্যবহৃত হয়।
Usage Notes (Bengali)
প্রধানত দাবায় ড্র বোঝাতে ব্যবহৃত হয়, তবে আলোচনার যেমন 'a stalemate in negotiations', রাজনীতি বা বিতর্কে অগ্রগতি বাধাগ্রস্ত হলে 'in a stalemate' কথাটি ব্যবহৃত হয়। খেলার স্কোর টাই বা সহজে ভাঙা সমাধান বোঝাতে সাধারণত ব্যবহার হয় না।
