'Stairwell' वह लंबवत स्थान होता है, जिसमें किसी इमारत की सीढ़ियाँ होती हैं और आमतौर पर दीवारों से घिरा होता है।

Usage Notes (Hindi)

'Stairwell' का इस्तेमाल आम तौर पर बड़े भवनों के सीढ़ी वाले बंद स्थान के लिए होता है, घर की साधारण सीढ़ियों के लिए नहीं। आपातकालीन निर्देशों ('fire' के समय) या वास्तुशिल्प संदर्भों में इसका ज़्यादा प्रयोग होता है। 'Staircase' सिर्फ सीढ़ियों के लिए होता है।
