Definition
小さな爆発音（エンジンや揚げ物など）のような音を出すこと。または、怒りや驚きで混乱しながら早口で話すこと。
Usage Notes (Japanese)
機械音や料理音、感情的な早口のどもりに使われます。「engine sputter」がよく使われます。「stutter」とは異なり、混乱や感情を強調する場合に用います。
