Definition

जल्दी-जल्दी, अनियमित आवाज करना, जैसे कोई घबराते हुए बोले या कोई मशीन या द्रव बड़बड़ाहट/छींटे मारने की आवाज करे। इसका प्रयोग भ्रमित या हांफते हुए बोलने पर भी होता है।

'Spluttering' अक्सर कहानी में या ध्वनि का वर्णन करने में आता है (जैसे इंजन, तवा)। यह 'stuttering' से ज्यादा अभिव्यक्तिपूर्ण है। आम तौर पर 'was spluttering', 'started spluttering' जैसे वाक्यांश बनते हैं।
