指や手足、物などを外側に向かって広げたり伸ばしたりすること。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

主に指や手足などの体の一部、物が外側に広がるイメージで使われます。「splayed fingers」「splayed cards」など書き言葉や描写で見かけます。液体には使いません。
