タシギ類は、湿地によくいる長いくちばしの小さな鳥です。また、短く皮肉な発言を指すこともあります。

鳥として使う場合は自然や観察の文脈で使われます。会話で使うと、短く皮肉な発言を表します。動詞（狙撃する等）とは区別しましょう。
