Usage Notes (Turkish)
'Boğmak' daha resmî veya edebi olarak, birinin nefesini kesmek anlamına gelir; ayrıca duyguları bastırmak ya da aşırı korumacı olmak ('smothers with love', 'smothers her child') için sıkça kullanılır. 'Suffocate' sadece fiziksel anlamda kullanılır.
