살을 빼다줄이다

Definition

음식 조절이나 운동으로 몸이 날씬해지거나 살을 빼는 것. 절차나 물건 등을 줄이거나 간소화할 때도 쓴다.

주로 구어체에서 사용. 사람의 살을 빼는 데 주로 쓰지만, 비유적으로 절차나 물건을 줄일 때도 ('slim down the budget' = 예산을 줄이다) 쓴다. 'slim'(형용사)와 혼동 주의.

I want to slim down before summer.
