قطع صغيرة وحادة انفصلت عن شيء ما، عادة من الزجاج أو الفخار أو مواد صلبة أخرى.

Usage Notes (Arabic)

عادةً تُستخدم "shards" لوصف قطع صغيرة وحادة من مواد صلبة سهلة التكسر مثل الزجاج أو الفخار. شائعة في "glass shards" أو "pottery shards". لا تستخدم للمواد اللينة. كثيرًا ما تحمل معنى الخطر بسبب حدة الأطراف.
