अनौपचारिक रूप से, जब कई विकल्पों में से किसी एक को चुनते हैं, तब इस्तेमाल होता है। इसके बाद प्रायः संज्ञा या वाक्यांश आता है। इसे 'settle down' (स्थिर होना) से न मिलाएं।
