以特别或正式的方式与即将离开的人道别。还可以指因为违反规则让某人离开，比如把球员罚下场。

常用于送别朋友、同事等（聚会、仪式），体育中指因违规把人罚下。常用表达有：'give someone a send-off'（为某人送行）。不要与单独的'send'混淆，'send off'含有告别或排除的意思。
