Escorrer ou vazar devagar através de pequenos buracos, rachaduras ou espaços, geralmente falando de líquido ou gás. Pode ser usado de forma figurada para algo que se espalha aos poucos.

“Seep” é mais formal, usado para líquidos ou gases passando devagar e muitas vezes imperceptíveis. Frequentemente usado em “water seeps through”, “blood seeps into”, etc. Também aparece em sentido figurado: “the news seeped out”. Não confunda com “leak” (vazamento visível, rápido).
