雲や風などが空や水の上をまっすぐ素早く動くことを表します。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

主に文学的な表現で、自然の描写（特に雲や風）に使われます。人には使いません。日常会話ではあまり使われません。

Examples

The dark cloud scuds across the sky.

黒い雲が空を**すばやく流れる**。

The wind scuds through the trees at night.

夜、風が木々の間を**さっと動く**。

Small boats scud over the water when the wind is strong.
