Definition

砂の城とは、主に子供たちが砂浜で遊びながら作る小さな砂の建物や彫刻のことです。楽しく遊ぶために作られます。

多くは複数形で使われます。子供や海辺と結びついており、比喩的に“夢のようなことを考える（砂上の楼閣）”の意味でも使われます。
