누군가가 직접적으로 도와주거나 책임지지 않기 위해 핑계를 대거나 시간을 끌고, 똑바로 답변해주지 않을 때 쓰임.

주로 고객센터나 관공서 등에서 답답함을 표현할 때 사용. 'give someone the runaround', 'get the runaround' 형태로 자주 등장.
