“Run in”可以指偶然遇到某人,或者指小心地磨合新发动机以改善性能。在英国口语中也有“迅速逮捕某人”的意思。

口语化,指偶遇时多用“run in to someone”。指新引擎磨合时多见于英式英语,美式英语常用“break in”。不要混淆“run in”与“run into”(撞上、突然进入)。
