暴力的で犯罪的な行動をし、特に集団で他人をいじめる人たち。

『ごろつき』や『不良』は古風または文語的な表現で、暴力的・無秩序な集団に使われる。現代では『ヤンキー』や『チンピラ』も使うが、より乱暴なニュアンスは『ごろつき』が強い。

A group of ruffians was causing trouble in the park.
