人や物を強引に起こしたり、どかしたり、追い払うこと。急にまたは乱暴にやる場合が多いです。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

「rousting」はカジュアルな表現で、無理やり起こしたり、退かせる時に使います。「rousting out of bed」で“ベッドから叩き起こす”の意味。「優しく」の意味はありません。
