상대가 원하지 않는데도 설득하거나 압박해서 어떤 일을 시키는 것.

일상적, 가볍게 불평하거나 웃으면서 자주 씀. 'get roped into' 형태가 많음. 실제 밧줄과 관계 없는 비유적 표현임.

I got roped into doing the dishes after dinner.
