助っ人（すけっと）なりすまし選手

Definition

本来のメンバーではなく、試合の勝利のために臨時で加えられる実力のある選手のこと。時には不公平になることもある。

主にスポーツで使う表現。「助っ人」はスポーツ以外にも使われるが、ここでは外部の優秀な選手に用いる。ズルや不公平な意味合いもある。

The coach brought in two ringers for the final game.

コーチは決勝戦に２人の**助っ人**を連れてきた。

Some teams use ringers to win important matches.
