Definition
Forçar alguém ou algo a se afastar, especialmente em uma luta ou ataque. Também pode significar rejeitar fortemente ou causar uma sensação de grande desgosto.

Mais formal e literário do que 'rejeitar'. Frequentemente usado em contextos militares ('repulsar um ataque') ou para emoções fortes ('me repulsa', 'foi repelido'). Não confundir com 'repelir', que normalmente se refere só ao ato físico de afastar.
