কোনো অপ্রীতিকর বা কঠিন বিষয় পরিবর্তন না করতে পেরে সেটিকে মেনে নেওয়া এবং মানসিকভাবে প্রস্তুত হওয়া।

আনুষ্ঠানিক বা আবেগপ্রবণ প্রসঙ্গে ব্যবহৃত হয়। 'reconcile oneself to something' বলা হলে নিজের সাথে মানিয়ে নেওয়ার কথা বোঝায়।
