Definition
裁判所に対して、出廷するなど特定の条件を守ることを正式に約束すること。主に保釈の条件として使われる法律用語。

日常会話では使われず、裁判や警察関連の書類・ニュースでのみ使われます。「保証書付きで釈放された」などの形でよく見られます。
