財政問題などが原因で、裁判所が会社や財産の管理のために外部の管財人を任命する法的手続きです。

主にビジネスや法律の場面で使われます。「go into receivership」は管財人による管理開始を意味し、破産とは異なります。債権者の利益保護が目的です。
