Definition
후위는 군대의 뒤쪽에서 주력 부대를 보호하는 부대입니다. 더 넓게는 대부분이 포기한 상황에서 끝까지 버티는 집단이나 노력을 의미하기도 합니다.

주로 군사용으로 쓰이지만, 'rearguard action'처럼 변화에 맞서 끝까지 저항하는 의미로도 쓰입니다. 공식적 또는 역사·정치 분야에서 자주 나옵니다.
