声や音が荒く、かすれていたりガラガラしている様子を表します。よく喉の調子が悪い時の声に使います。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

主に声に対して使われ、「raspy voice」や「raspy cough」のように、病気や疲れた時の表現で使われます。物の音にも使えますが、ややカジュアルです。
