"Rancid" describe alimentos, especialmente grasas o aceites, que se han echado a perder y huelen o saben mal.

"Rancid" se usa principalmente para aceites, mantequilla, nueces o alimentos con grasa en mal estado. Siempre es negativo. Combinaciones comunes: 'rancid butter', 'rancid smell'. No se aplica a frutas o verduras en mal estado.
