～から持ち上げる～から蘇らせる

Definition

誰かや何かを下の位置から持ち上げること。また宗教的・物語の中で、死から蘇らせる意味もある。

「raise from」は物理的に持ち上げる場面より、伝説や物語の「from the dead」「from the ashes」など比喩的・宗教的な使い方が多いです。日常会話ではあまり使われません。

They tried to raise from the floor the heavy box.
