重要なものや知識、冒険、明確な目的を求めて探し回ること。しばしば答えや意味を追い求めるときに使われます。
Usage Notes (Japanese)
文学的・冒険物の文脈で用いられることが多く、日常会話ではあまり使われません。「on a quest」のように形容句的な使い方が現代語で自然です。
