ガーガー鳴く

Definition

アヒルが出す大きな鳴き声のこと。ふざけて人が騒ぐ様子にも使われることがある。

主にアヒルの鳴き声を表すが、人がふざけて「アヒルのように鳴く」動作にも使われる。ほかの鳥には使わない。

The ducks are quacking at the pond.

アヒルたちが池で**ガーガー鳴いて**いる。

We heard quacking while we walked by the river.

川沿いを歩いていると**ガーガー鳴く**声が聞こえた。
