Colocar fuerza o presión sobre algo usando el cuerpo o un objeto, o aumentar de peso corporal. Se usa literalmente para presión física y figurativamente para engordar.

Se usa mucho en contextos médicos y deportivos. Literal: "put weight on your leg" (apoyar peso). Para aumentar de peso, se usa "put weight on" o más comúnmente "put on weight". No confundir con "carry weight" (tener importancia).
