Definition

কিছু বা নিজেকে এমনভাবে ঠেলে নেওয়া যাতে আপনি বা জিনিসটি অন্য কিছুর একেবারে কাছে বা গায়ে লাগানো থাকে, সাধারণত কিছুটা চাপ দিয়ে।

Usage Notes (Bengali)

প্রায়ই শরীর বা বস্তুর সঙ্গে ঘনিষ্ঠ সংস্পর্শ বোঝাতে ব্যবহৃত হয়। যেমন 'the wall', 'someone', 'the door' ইত্যাদির সঙ্গে। সাধারণ 'push against'-এর থেকে ঘনিষ্ঠ ও দৃঢ় স্পর্শ বোঝায়।
