누군가가 책임지거나 관리할 수 있는 권한이나 활동, 지식의 범위. 자신의 통제나 전문성 안에 있는 것을 의미함.

격식 있는 단어로 주로 법률, 행정, 비즈니스 분야에서 사용. '내 권한 범위 내/외'처럼 많이 씀. 물리적 범위가 아니라 추상적 책임·권한에만 사용됨.
