Definition

'관할구역'은 경찰서, 선거구, 학교나 교회 같은 건물의 경내 등 공식적으로 경계가 정해진 구역을 의미합니다.

대부분 복수형으로 쓰이고, 경찰, 투표 등 특정 목적으로 구분된 지역에서만 사용합니다. 일반 동네에는 사용하지 않습니다.

The college precincts are quiet at night.

대학교 **구내**는 밤에 조용합니다.
