Definition

パウンダーとは、物を叩き砕いたり押し潰したりする道具や人のこと。また、発射する弾の重さで名付けられた大砲や、一定の重さ（ポンド）を表すものにも使います。

現代の会話ではあまり使われず、主に調理器具（meat pounder）や昔の大砲（six-pounder cannon）などで用いられます。'pound'（重さの単位）と混同しないよう注意してください。
