船や航空機で前方を向いた時の左側を指します。主に航海や航空の場面で使われます。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

「portside」は航海や航空の専門用語で、常に前方を見て左側を指します。反対は「starboard（右舷）」です。日常会話ではあまり使いません。
