Một món ăn truyền thống của Ý làm từ bột ngô nấu với nước hoặc sữa thành dạng sệt như cháo. Có thể ăn khi còn mềm hoặc để nguội rồi nướng, chiên hoặc nướng vỉ.

Thông thường chỉ món ăn Ý. Dùng từ như 'creamy polenta', 'grilled polenta', 'a bowl of polenta'. Không giống với 'cornbread' hoặc 'grits'.
