어려움이나 장애물이 있어도 결연하게 계속 나아가는 것. 힘들어도 계속 진행할 때 사용한다.

비교적 비격식적이며, 주로 일, 학업, 어려운 상황에서 사용된다. 영국식은 'plough', 미국식은 'plow ahead'이다. 프로젝트에서 'plough ahead with the plan'처럼 쓰인다.
