Definition

Plait बालों की चोटी है, जिसमें तीन या अधिक बालों की लटों को एक साथ गूंथा जाता है। यह शब्द रस्सी या कपड़े के ऐसे ही बुने हुए रूप के लिए भी इस्तेमाल हो सकता है।

Usage Notes (Hindi)

“Plait” मुख्यतः ब्रिटिश अंग्रेज़ी में चलता है; अमेरिकी अंग्रेज़ी में “braid” बोला जाता है। आम तौर पर 'hair plait', 'make a plait', 'plaited bread' आदि में आता है। यह संज्ञा और क्रिया दोनों रूपों में आता है।
