"Picked over" berarti sebuah kelompok barang sudah dipilih-pilih, sehingga hanya sisa barang yang kurang diinginkan atau sudah tidak dipilih orang lain.

Biasanya dipakai untuk makanan (buah, sisa sale), atau barang bekas yang sudah disortir orang lain; sedikit bernuansa negatif, informal, tidak dipakai untuk orang. Jangan bingung dengan kata kerja "pick over" (memeriksa dengan teliti).
