Que não desiste facilmente ou continua a fazer algo durante muito tempo, mesmo quando é difícil ou outros desistem.

Normalmente tem conotação positiva de determinação, mas pode ser negativo se indicar insistência indesejada. Frequente em 'persistent effort', 'persistent problem' e 'be persistent'. Não confundir com 'consistent' (regular, coerente).
