সাধারণত যখন কিছু দেখতে বাধা থাকে তখন 'peer through' ব্যবহৃত হয়; যেমন—'curtain', 'hole', 'fog'. দ্রুত বা সামান্য নজরে নয়, বরং সচেতনভাবে ও মনোযোগ দিয়ে তাকানো বোঝায়।
